Steve Lavelle is the Managing Partner of NGS Global UK, based in our London office. He is a highly experienced European executive search professional, with a track record of more than 25 years recruiting VP, CxO and Director level roles, mostly in the technology sector.


The early part of Mr. Lavelle’s career was spent in marketing roles before moving to the executive search industry.  His recruitment career included several years with the Redbrick Consultancy, where he led all Microsoft’s sales and marketing recruitment in the UK. After moving firms to join Goodman Graham, Mr. Lavelle spent seven years managing their market-leading IT practice until the business was acquired by Norman Broadbent, subsequently moving to their technology executive search team.

In his career, Mr. Lavelle has led multiple practices, including Software/SaaS, Cleantech, Finance/CFO, Cyber and early-stage US-based companies growing in Europe and has led teams successfully executing over a thousand searches across tech-hubs in the UK, mainland Europe, Middle East and Africa. His work has supported the early-stage growth of many hundreds of Venture Capital backed businesses, Private Equity funded companies and major corporations quoted on NASDAQ, NYSE, LSE and other public markets globally.


Mr. Lavelle recently contributed to the award-winning book Seamless: Successful B2B Marketing, Selling and Account Management, and has lectured at London Business School. He has a BA (Honours) in Business Studies from the University of the West of England.
